The farmstead (including the cottages) nestles in its own valley (Cwmiar means Valley of the Hen - the name of the stream which runs through the lower fields; Cwmceiliog - further round the mountain - is Valley of the Cockerel, after its own stream). A suntrap, sheltered from the wind, it is very beautiful to just walk or laze around by the millpond or the woods next to it, watching nature, sitting reading a book or the newspaper, or perhaps having a barbeque and a drink or two. In the case of Sunset View Cottage you'll be able to enjoy that in your own garden admiring the scenery across the Teifi Valley and open countryside beyond.

The Old Water Mill
Sleeps 10 + 1 - 4 bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Easy access for wheelchair user.
This threshing mill, one of very few of its kind left in the country was built hundreds of years ago.
It still has its wheel, millpond and leat and has been converted to a relaxing, comfortable and cosy cottage with all modern conveniences, yet by keeping the stonework and the beams exposed,
retains its original character and charm.
Miller's Cottage
4 bedrooms - sleeps 10 + cot.
Easy access for wheelchair user.
Miller's cottage is a very old stone barn. Previously a milking parlour - apparently years ago Cwmiar was a commercial dairy - it has been converted it into a relaxing and comfortable cottage
with all modern conveniences, but by keeping the stonework and the beams exposed the olde worlde charm and atmosphere has been retained.
Mill Pond Cottage
3 bedrooms - sleeps 8 + cot
Millpond Cottage is a very old stone barn where the shire horses that worked the fields were housed along with all their equipment.
The floor above would have been used for the storage of hay and straw and has now been converted into relaxing comfortable accommodation with all modern conveniences and yet retains its atmosphere
by keeping the stonework and the beams exposed.
Mountain View Cottage
3 bedrooms - sleeps 8
Mountain View cottage is a very old stone barn which used to house the farmer's cart, plough and other farm equipment and corn was stored on the floor above.
Adjacent to the farmhouse, it has now been converted to a relaxing, comfortable cottage with all modern conveniences and by keeping the stonework and old beams exposed,
along with the handcrafted wooden furnishings it is warm and cosy.
The Mill House
2 bedrooms - sleeps 4 + 1 + cot.
Access for wheelchair user who can manage 2 steps.
The Mill House is probably the oldest building at Cwmiar or at least built at the same time as the mill. It was in a very sorry state, but was rescued and converted it into a comfortable
cottage keeping to the original style as much as modern convenience would allow! The stonework and old beams and rafters in the roof and hand crafted woodwork all give the cottage a relaxing,
warm, atmosphere and is wonderfully romantic and the ideal setting for a honeymoon.
Sunset View Cottage
2 bedrooms - sleeps 4.
Easy access for wheelchair user.
This cottage was originally built on to the farmhouse as accommodation for a lady who was confined to a wheelchair. It has recently been converted to a relaxing, comfortable, bright and cheerful,
well-equipped single storey holiday home.
