Nanteos Mansion is a Grade One listed Georgian-period country house situated in private grounds just outside Aberystwyth on the West Coast of Wales. Set in 30 acres of stunning scenery, this beautiful Georgian house and estate provide impressive surroundings for the perfect stay.
The house was built in 1738 by William Powell and the interior, in particular the kitchen and first floor, remains largely unchanged and rich in period detail.
The grounds of the house are also home to a number of other buildings including a Grade Two listed stable yard, two large coach houses and eight stables that are arranged around a cobbled courtyard. All are accessed via an impressive neo-classical archway.
In keeping with the history of the house, there is no reception desk and so all guests arriving at Nanteos are welcomed at the door before entering. Whether your stay is for your wedding, corporate function, or just to escape for an impromptu weekend getaway, we cater for everyone and allow all of our packages to be tailored to meet your individual needs.
The Mansion is the perfect setting for a romantic weekend break, or to use as a base for exploring the beautiful countryside and rich heritage of Wales. The house boasts five plushly decorated guest rooms, all with en-suite bathroom and commanding views of the surrounding countryside. The accommodation consists of four double rooms and one twin room. Rates are based on single or double occupancy and include breakfast.
Why not have your wedding at Nanteos Mansion? Weddings are usually performed in the breathtaking music room, which is considered to be one of the finest 18th century salons in Wales. If you are looking for a venue for your reception the stately function rooms and gardens provide the perfect setting for your reception party and photographs. The dining room is able to comfortably seat 80 guests. Buffet numbers can be extended to 150 as guests can dine in different areas on the ground floor. We work with our own caterers to ensure that your special day runs trouble-free.
With easy access from Aberystwyth, ample parking and a suite of large conference rooms, Nanteos is a great choice for hosting a wide range of functions,
conferences or other gatherings. We have four large conference rooms, each of which can seat 80 to 150 people, as well as a smaller room which seats 10 to 20.
