Argoed Meadow Camping

Argoed Meadow borders the famous River Teifi and is only a quarter of a mile downstream of Cenarth Bridge. This site enables the visitor to pitch on the very edge of the river bank if he so wishes, so it is a favourite spot with the keen fishermen that frequent the area. The meadow is completely unspoilt and offers the ideal spot to just sit and laze without the hubbub of the usual overcrowded parks.

argoed meadow caravan Cenarth is famous for its waterfalls, not because of their height, but it is one of the few natural salmon leaps left in Wales. By standing close to the falls, you can often see the salmon and sea trout leaping and jumping the cascading waters. The river is a host to a wide variety of Wildlife including otters that hunt and swim in the waters alongside the meadow.

argoed meadow caravan The site is the perfect base to visit the surrounding countryside and beaches of West Wales and once seen, you will want to return regularly. In particular, game fishermen enjoy the closeness of the river, and with a river permit from the Salmon Leap Shop at Cenarth Bridge, you could be taking home a giant wild salmon and a bagful of sewin (sea trout). The local fishing club owns 24 miles of fishing rights and allows worming, floating, spinning and fly fishing.
