This delightful 17th Century listed cottage offers you the ideal holiday accommodation. It has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to a very high standard, whilst maintaining its character throughout. It has been awarded a four star rating by the Welsh Tourist Board. The Cottage is situated in a peaceful yet central position in the small village of Clyro, where the Victorian curate and diarist Francis Kilvert lived. Ideal base for an exploring, activity, sightseeing or relaxing holiday and only a mile from Hay-on-Wye, famous as the second hand and antiquarian book capital of the world.

There is a cosy traditional feel to this beautiful stone cottage with its stone tiled roof and a wealth of beams. It is comfortably furnished and equipped for a relaxing holiday. The sitting room has a large oak beamed traditional inglenook fireplace with a woodburner, brick lined breadoven and stone hearth. A television and radio are also provided for your use.

The cottage has a peaceful, secluded garden at the back, with a patio area set under an old apple tree, perfect for alfresco meals.

It faces the lychgate of the Church that lies between the old village pound and the small green where the local stocks would once have stood. It is one of a pair of the oldest and prettiest cottages in the village which also has a shop, post office and local pub.
