Tyn y Wern, (House in the Meadow), is just outside the picturesque market town of Llangollen, set in some of the most beautiful and spectacular scenery in North Wales. There is ample parking space in the private grounds, and the hotel is ideally situated as a touring base for North and Mid Wales, including the Borderlands, with many attractions within easy traveling distance.

Ty'n y Wern is set in its own grounds of extensive lawned areas with well tended flower beds and trees, providing the ideal setting for you, whether you wish to just relax and enjoy the surroundings, or have a more energetic sight-seeing break in the splendour of North Wales. With assistance from Wales Tourist Board, we have recently completed a total refurbishment of Ty'n y Wern, and have achieved our ambition to attain a 4 star grading.
We have three single bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, five double bedrooms and two superior double bedrooms,
all of which are tastefully decorated and equipped to the same high standard, having fully en-suite bathrooms with bath and/or shower.
All have remote control colour television with tele-text and video-recorder, clock/alarm radio with CD player, direct dial telephone and tea/coffee making facilities.
All rooms have individually controlled central heating radiators.
In October 2004, the standards were further enhanced with the introduction of top quality Egyptian Cotton bed linen and luxury towels throughout the hotel.
Ironing facilities are available.
One double room and one twin room are on the ground floor, the double meets category 1 requirements for disabled access and facilities, whilst the twin meets category 3.
Standards are maintained to the highest order by Head Housekeeper Elizabeth Hughes.
Evening meals are served in the fully licensed restaurant which is open to both residents and non residents.
A good selection of wines, draught and bottled beers, lagers and soft drinks are available for you to enjoy with your meals.
Friendly but courteous table service is ensured by Maitre d'hotel Dave Wellington and his team, whilst Head Chef Darren Davies and Chef Angela Williams,
both of whom are exceptionally able and talented in their skills, will delight you with a quality and presentation that you thought had disappeared forever.
