Welcome to Tregar House, an ideal self catering holiday property in Morfa Nefyn, close to Porth Dinllean on the North Wales Coast.
It is an ideal base for golfing & walking holidays in North Wales or just to get away and relax.
The house is a large 5 bedroom semi-detached property. It was built in 1912 and was initially occupied by a sea captain who moored his ship at the local Porth Dinllean Bay. Although now pebble-dashed, the interior maintains most of its original character including pitch pine doors with stain glass panels, original banisters and varnished pine flooring to the first and second floors.
Accommodation. There are two reception rooms on the ground floor, both having living flame gas fires.
The house is gas centrally heated, and boasts a reading room fitted with log burner and easy furniture.
The three first floor bedrooms are quite spacious. Again the floors are polished and varnished.
The kitchen is equipped with all the latest mod cons including a dish washer, washing machine, filter coffee maker, toaster, gas cooker.
There is a small breakfast table and stools located in the centre. The house sleeps 9 in 4 doubles and one single bed.
There is private off road parking for 2 cars. Tregar is situated 5 minutes walk from the beach.
There are ample facilities including a post office, a village shop, a grocer, a petrol station and a pub and restaurant within walking distance from the house.
Golfing Holidays The Nefyn and District Golf Club is ideally located a few minutes walk away (OS GRID REF 281 406). It offers guest membership,
and provides bar and restaurant facilities depending on the season.
It is advisable to check with the club first about their opening times. The club would be happy to discuss your requirements if you would like a round of golf during your stay.
Walking Holidays For the adventurous hill walkers, a trip to Carn Fadryn Mountain (park at the church at OS GRID REF 277 346) boasts unrivalled views over all the peninsula.
Climbing is steep in parts but is suitable for all the family along the well formed path.
The Surrounding Area This area of North Wales is particularly stunning. With unspoiled cliff faces, and dramatic backdrop of the interior hills.
Morfa Nefyn
has the best of both worlds, unrivalled coastline with golden sands, and breathtaking open country with wild
and dramatic rock outcrops.
The coastline and headlands are a must to explore. The beaches are idyllic and you may be lucky enough to see the seals perched on the rocks just 30 meters off shore.
The peninsula is also notorious for it's unblemished starry night skies.
Morfa Nefyn The Village has a number of facilities including a post office, a village shop, a grocers (where fresh bread is baked every morning),
a petrol station and the Cliffs Pub and Restaurant. All these facilities are just minutes by foot from the house.
Porth Dinllean If you walk through the nearby Golf Course, you will come to the quaint village of Porth Dinllean ( OS GRID REF 276 415)
which is renowned for its beautiful sands. A visit to the Ty Coch Pub is a must, and can be reached by foot from Tregar either through the Golf Course,
or on the beach, tide permitting.
