As well as the Rhinog mountains, numerous Roman sites and Coed y Brenin forest, the local area has many beautiful nature trails where you may catch a glimpse of the wealth of wild animals, plants and birds. Information boards are conveniently situated along the route to guide you and for the children there is a small play area. And after a peaceful walk, how about an adrenalin rush at the Rhiwgoch Dry-Slope Ski Centre?

Other attractions within 25 minutes: the seaside resort of Barmouth with its funfair and nightclub, Harlech's golden beach and dramatic castle, the town of Bala and its famous lake and narrow gauge railway, and the picturesque village of Beddgelert.
