All the comforts of the castle are offered together with a friendly service that will realise your every expectation for an enjoyable visit. In winter relax by a real log fire in the Patti Bar in the evenings. In summer, enjoy the views from the patio. We have light bar snacks and log fires in the Patti Bar. By day try caving, walking, mountain biking etc.

The Castle and surrounding park were the former estate of Adelina Patti, the famous opera singer who, at the turn of the twentieth century, was one of the Worlds most famous and highest paid entertainers. This remarkable lady entertained royalty, heads of state and many famous contemporaries at Craig-y-Nos. Today the memories of the lady herself and her momentous times are woven into the very fabric of the castle.

The castle has several bars and comfortable lounges providing drinks and refreshments throughout the day. The bridal suite and other guest rooms are furnished in a traditional style in keeping with our heritage. This serves to enhance the experience of staying in a Welsh Castle.

There are many public rooms: the Breakfast Room with huge Sky TV, huge Billiard and Music Room, the quiet, peaceful Patti Bar with real log fire, and a new restaurant soon to be opened in the cellars. Why not come up for a tour of the castle?

Having created a wider choice of rooms at different tariffs we are now able to suite most accommodation requirements. We provide double, twin and single bedded rooms, some with their own private lounges (as seen on right) with an option of shared or en-suite bathrooms. There is also a dormitory room available which is ideal for those that wish to share as a party booking.

We also offer our special two night break package which is available from Sunday evenings through to Friday mornings throughout the year, which provides our guests with their second night at half price.

We have 16 newly refurbished, very pleasant en-suite rooms at £80.00 to £95.00 per room per night (2 people B&B) or £55.00 single occupancy midweek.

We also have 10 non en-suite doubles at £60.00 (2006) per room, B&B for two. We also have budget accommodation at £22.00 per person per night B&B. So all your guests can stay over.

The clear rivers and streams which tumble down from the Brecon Beacons have goods stocks of brown trout as well as much larger migratory Sea-Trout (Sewin) and Salmon. Adelina Patti's second husband Ernesto Nicolini was an avid fisherman and he spent many hours casting a fly on the River Tawe where it flows through the castle grounds. Visitors can still enjoy fishing on this lovely river and its tributaries.

The high hills and mountains of Cribarth, Carreg Goch and Fforest Fawr are unspoilt wilderness areas with commanding views of the surrounding terrain. There are also numerous heritage sites and places of historical interest which have been linked to form a whole series of published walks in the Upper Swansea Valley.
